Description

Blue Interlaced L's and Fleur-de-lis mark on the cup and iron-red crowned eagle mark on the saucer. The cup with elaborate gilt scroll handle terminating in a palmette, the sides finely painted in colors with graduated octagonal cartouches enclosing birds and ruins, painted to resemble micro-mosaics alternating with blue faux marble panels painted en grisaille with Classical symbols within iron-red tapering panels enriched with white foliage and flanked by colorful foliate arabesques on the deep maroon ground, the rim, foot and center of the saucer gilt and finely chased with stylized leaves, rosettes and flowers, the interior of the saucer gilt.
