Delicately painted in translucent enamels with mythological scenes, classical busts, still and fruit-life, land and sea scape scenes. The gilt borders variously painted with leaf classical motifs. Comprising 10 double lipped bowls (H: 4", D: 4.5") (5 with landscapes and 5 with shipscapes), 12 bowls (H: 3.75", D: 5") all with mythological scenes with Tritons and Neriads and sea monsters, 14 water goblets (H: 4", D: 3") all with cupids in various poses and guises, 22 stemmed wines (H: 5.25") all with mythological figures in various pursuits and poses including Hercules with his labors and Hercules with Antaeus, 18 stemmed wines (H: 4.75") all with portraits of Caesars and other luminaries (inc. Valens, Ptolemy, Saul, Alexander, Marc Antony) identified on each glass, 17 liquors (H: 3.5") with portraits of children, angels and cupids, 8 large stemmed water goblets (H: 5.5") with identified portraits of Ganymede, Harmonia, Sol, Pomona, Adonis... 14 sherries (H: 4") with still life of fruits and flowers, 22 sherries (H: 4.5") with portraits of Rosamond, Andromache, Hagar, Zara, Helen, Cleopatra (silver repair to stem) (14 of which are named). Approximate 138 total pieces.
